From Surviving to Thriving

Hi, I’m Pegg. I’ve never been a runner or an athlete—at least not until now. As a mom over 40, I never imagined I’d find such a deep love for running, let alone become an ultrarunner. But here I am, in the best shape of my life, both physically and mentally, and it’s all thanks to trail running.

Before discovering this new passion, I was navigating the challenges of a demanding career, motherhood, and life’s endless responsibilities. I was just surviving, not thriving. But when I took that first step into the woods, I found more than just a way to move my body. I found a path to transformation. Through running, I’ve discovered not only strength but also clarity, resilience, and a deeper connection to myself and nature.

In the last two years, I’ve gone from a complete beginner to an ultrarunner, embracing the challenges and rewards along the way. Running has shown me that it’s never too late to start something new and that it’s possible to thrive at any age.

As a mom, I’m passionate about sharing this journey with my daughter and the people around me—showing how movement in nature can bring lasting joy, health, and longevity. Through RunPeggRun, I want to inspire others to take that first step, break free from survival mode, and discover how they, too, can thrive.
